The UK Health Security Agency has issued amber and red heat health alerts for England and Wales until Thursday 25th June at 11:00pm. Hotter summers are increasingly common in the UK and extreme heat is a workplace health and safety issue.
There is no legal maximum workplace temperature, but employers must ensure working conditions remain reasonable and assess and manage risks to health and safety, including risks from heatwaves.
