National living and minimum wage rates increase from April 2023

The government has announced that minimum wage rates are set to increase from 1st April 2025, in line with recommendations from the Low Pay Commission.

The increase is to support low-paid workers in line with rising costs of living. The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for workers aged 18 to 20 will narrow the gap with the National Living Wage (NLW), and the government’s future plan is for there to be a single adult NLW rate for all workers aged 18 and over.
