Are you completing right to work checks correctly?

This year the Home Office increased penalties for failing to conduct appropriate checks. For a first offence, the penalty increased from £15,000 to £45,000. For any subsequent breach, the maximum fine increased from £20,000 to £60,000 per worker.

With the increased fines and the fact that the overall number of enforcement visits for right to work breaches increased by 68% in 2023 it is important to ensure that you get it right.
