Over the coming winter period, AXA Health are running a pilot to offer access to private urgent care support. Selected London-based Individual members aged 18+ (defined by home postcode) will have the option to be seen for minor injuries and illnesses at certain private urgent care centres.
Urgent care centres (also called minor injury units) are designed to alleviate the pressure at A&E departments by treating non-life-threatening conditions that still need urgent attention, like chest infections and respiratory problems, broken bones or minor burns, wounds, and injuries.
